The needles create temporary channels into the dermis of the skin to significantly reduce scarring and improve elasticity and thickness of the skin by stimulating the body’s own repair response, including the production of natural collagen and important growth factors. This facial needling procedure is done by the doctor only.
Medical (Micro) Needling
The needles create microscopic breaks in the blood vessels immediately below the surface of the skin. In response, platelets are released and produce a series of growth factors that promote the body’s own production of natural collagen and elastin. This treatment can be performed by your Aesthetician.
Needling & DF Machine Treatment or Roll CIT
Maximum benefits may be achieved through facial needling treatment of the DF vitamin infusion or self treatment with the Cosmetic Roll – CIT and the appropriate Environ products high in vitamin A, C and antioxidants. A more nutritionally equipped skin will respond better to the needling stimuli and topical vitamins assure nutrition is localized to the skin.
Things to Do After a Skin Needling Treatment
Once you’ve had a skin needling treatment, there are a few things you should do to ensure that the treatment is 100 percent successful.
During the first 24 hours after you’ve received this treatment, you should avoid using any skin products that aren’t comedogenic or specifically created to be used alongside a skin needling treatment. These products include makeup, sunblock, sunscreen or any other product that can cause skin irritation. Any topical product that can be absorbed through the skin should be avoided. Alcohol-based products will dry out your skin, so they should be avoided as well.
You should also stay out of the sun for at least 24 hours after your treatment. This will stop the sun from doing any lasting damage on your skin. You will feel sensitive to the sunlight, so stay out of direct sunlight.
After the treatment, you may notice that your skin feels tighter and firmer. It may also look a little red, as if you’ve just been out in the sun too long. These are normal side effects, and they will fade away.
