What Does the Cynosure Potenza Treat?
Cynosure Potenza may be recommended for patients who wish to reduce wrinkles and achieve smoother looking skin. It may also be useful in enhancing the brightness, tone, and overall texture of the skin.
Cynosure Potenza can be an effective facial rejuvenation and anti-aging treatment as well as treating acne scarring, mild tightening under eyes, and reduction of large pores. Beyond your facial skin needs, it is also effective with tightening minor loose skin around the neck, upper underarm, middle of abdomen, and knees.
Am I a Good Candidate for Cynosure Potenza?
An initial consultation is required for all patients desiring treatment with Cynosure Potenza. During your consultation, we will review the following possible contraindications and discuss a few medical/healthcare related topics to determine if you are a candidate:
- Use blood thinners
- Diabetes
- Pregnancy
- Open wounds on treatment area
- Herpes (must be treated with oral anti-viral medication even if not active)
- Lupus
- Thyroid issues (cannot use treatment on neck area)

What to Expect with Your Treatment Sessions
There are a variety of tips we can use with the Cynosure Potenza. We will select the proper microneedling tip for the specific treatment area we are addressing and the desired results.
Cynosure Potenza treatment sessions can vary in length depending on the treatment size and area. Once the treatment area is topically numbed, most sessions may be completed in 45 minutes or less. The total appointment time will be 60-90 minutes.
Best recommended in a series, we will determine the total treatments needed. In most cases a minimum of 3 treatments is recommended. Time between treatments is normally 4-6 weeks and is determined on a case-by-case basis.
We do not recommend any treatment with the Cynosure Potenza within 2 weeks of any special event to allow for proper recovery. The collagen and elastin building process typically takes 4-6 weeks, with optimal results usually seen 12 weeks after the last treatment.
