Glowing skin from spa
Who doesn’t want that beautiful dewy glowing skin that we see on all the stars on the red carpet, and magazines. Here are some great helpful tips to get the skin you have always wanted.

Food and Health

  1.  Stay hydrated! Do you get bored of water? Watermelon, grapefruit, broccoli, and lettuce are great foods to help with skin hydration!
  2. Fish oil supplements are great for skin, heart, eyes, and your brain.
  3. Sleep! Make sure your getting a good eight hours of slumber!
  4. Add mixed nuts to your diet. Nuts are packed with quality oils and fatty acids which help aid in skin rejuvenation.

Skin Care Regimen

  1. Exfoliate your skin 3 times a week. When dead skin cells accumulate it gives the appearance of dull skin because it diffuses the light.
  2. Receive facials once a month. The reason behind monthly facials is your outer most layer of skin (stratum corneum) completely renews itself every 28 days. When you get a facial monthly you are getting a head start on replicating your new cells with healthier cells which will give you a better complexion. The Spa At Spring Ridge has a great variety of facials to personalize to your skincare needs.
  3. Apply moisturizer morning and night. Finding a moisturizer or any skin care product can become overwhelming. At The Spa At Spring Ridge our highly trained Aesthetician are available to help you find the perfect home care regimen.
  4. Apply a facial sunscreen daily. Most times there is an SPF in your make-up, or moisturizer. If there isn’t you should invest in one.
  5. Don’t forget about your neck and chest. Your neck is one of the first things to age, one of the reasons it shows signs of aging first is because it’s so dry.
  6. Invest in a vitamin c product for your face. We love Circadia’s and Revision’s Vitamin C serums.
  7. Give yourself a facial massage a couple times a week. Massage helps increase circulation.
  8. Microdermabrasion exfoliates, helps even tone and texture which leads you with a natural glow! Micro can be added to all of our facials to enhance your skin.
  9. Keep a humidifier in the room at night, especially in the winter months.
  10. Wear sunglasses to protect the skin around your eyes.

Make-up

  1. Don’t leave make-up on overnight. Not only can make-up clog pores over night, it can cause dryness and skin dandruff to the face.
  2. Clean Make-up brushes. Wash your makeup brushes, for loose powders every two weeks and foundation every week.
  3. Try make-up setting spray. We love Jane Iredale’s Hydration Setting Sprays.
  4. Dot highlighter on your cheekbones for a great glow.

Sanitation and Cleanliness

  1. Wash your hands before you wash your face.
  2. Sanitize your cell phone, and any other device that touches your face.

Having glowing skin isn’t only for the celebrities. In summary, eat a healthy diet, stay ahead of your skin cell cycle with monthly facials, invest a in a good skin care regimen, and when in doubt re read these tips.
